JUST GOT A CALL..........

From GL. They (Pinellas County) have heavy rain and pretty high winds but they haven't had much damage yet & he doesn't expect any.
He trimmed back one tree in his yard and trimmed branches from his neighbor's tree (had to get up on the neighbor's roof) yesterday.
I am going to call him tomorrow because her said that the next few hours are going to be the worst.

Talked to GL tonight. He called to say that he isn't going in to work on Tuesday because he has been without power since 8 o'clock this morning and doesn 't know when it wio=ll come back on. That means he will have to stay at home because it is too hot to leave the dogs outside and if he leaves them in the house, he would have to leave the doors and windows open and pray that it doesn't rain or no one breaks in his house. So, he is going to stay home and help his older neighbor clear debris from his yard. He cleared his today. He wants everyone to know he is OK and he thanks everyone for their good thoughts and prayers.

I'm glad he's ok. But maybe next time he'll not be such a dumbshit and pretend he can predict the path of a hurricane. He's lucky the damage was just debris in his yard.

In a dwelling such as his, he's a sitting duck.

I talked to Sally about an hour ago, and got the South Florida update. Still no power, and no gasoline. In her neighborhood (West Palm) there are a lot of trees down, but she saw only one that hit a house.

The neighborhood where she lived until about a year ago in Hobe Sound is gone.

Michael sustained water damage, but that's all. He's definitely his father's son -- after the storm, he went to the restaurant, got lots of food and had a cookout.

I asked Sally if they knew Ivan was on the way, and her response was "Fuck Ivan". (Sorry Sluggo)

I still haven't heard a word from my friend down in Boynton Beach. I assume they are without power and she's working her butt off at emergency ops. I hope.
